I have been delving into the alchemical world of eco-printing; the marriage of fibre and forest. Over the last year, I have explored how bamboo, silk, linen, cotton, and wool each absorb botanical imprints differently. Leaf after leaf, bundle after bundle, I have taken pleasure in the process. Following the seasons, using natural processes and materials, the mark making process is slow and muted, but the results are spectacular - alchemical! More than in any other art form I’ve explored, this process speaks to ancient practices of harvesting from our surroundings to create beauty.
